I ♥ blog

One down, three to go. Since nobody felt like keeping me company tonight, and I’ve been playing way too damn much RoM lately, I decided to dive right in to the blog portion of my website. A couple hours and a couple redbulls later, I have a respectable blog ready to go. As promised, friends will have their say in my pointless rambling. I left the registration closed, so If you’d like an account you’ll hafta email me. Just let me know what you’d like as a nickname, and I’ll send back a password as soon as I’m able. Once you’ve logged in; you can update your info, change your password, upload an avatar, etc. Then you’ll be free to tell me off or tell me you love me. I’m not gonna mod over the comments. Whatever you wanna say, say it (so long as you don’t piss off my web host). I encourage you to troll my friends, post scantily clad photos of yourself, tell me I suck, and anything else short of spamming me. It should be fun.

I don’t know which section I’ll work on next. I really need to buy a tablet and a camera. I plan on creating a whole new logo for the site and the merch. There’s a ton of work ahead of me.

I have a website

So, I took a week’s vacation from work with nothing really planned. No destination, no list of things to get done, nothing of that nature. However, I did tell myself that I would take some time to catch up on some projects that have been in the works for a while. Stuff I talk about constantly but never actually act upon. Things like: buying furniture so it looks like someone actually lives here, getting a weight bench and working my way back to my old muscle-bound self, and (as I’m sure you’ve seen coming) getting this site up and running. It’s been a long time coming, but I finally decided to take the plunge. I was tired of typing in my URL and seeing a placeholder page. It’s about time I got the real deal running. I have some vision for where this place will be headed in the near future.

This blog is an outlet I’ve needed for a long time. I keep telling myself I need to write more, but I’m often so critical of my work that it never makes it to the public’s eyes. This blog will be pretty much unfiltered. I’ll warn you that I have some crazy ideas that might upset or offend at times, but don’t hold it against me. There’s no rule saying we have to see eye-to-eye on every subject in order to be friends. I hope to one day implement a comment section on my blog. Something with more of a forum feel. The idea would be to let friends and acquaintances weigh-in on all my musings. Open the floor for discussion, if you will. This wouldn’t be open to just everyone with an ip address, this would be a feature for people I personally know. That doesn’t mean you need to have known me since grade school. If I can remember your name, or your measurements, or what you were wearing; that’s good enough for me. Think of it as a micro-social networking site where I’m Tom and I don’t necessarily want to be friends with everybody.

You should’ve known there would be a merch page. I’m always peddling my wares. I am, however, going to revamp the whole thing. I’ll still be using third parties for printing and processing transactions, but I’ll have more of the pictures and product descriptions on my own site. I’ll go through and get rid of some stale designs and hopefully come up with some new ideas in the process. Another big idea I’ve been kicking around for a long while: models. I’ve got lots of attractive friends and I’ve decided to start exploiting them. I don’t really make any money at this, so don’t get your hopes up about quitting your day job just yet. I will, however, provide some free gear for your trouble. And, if you’re pretty enough, dinner and drinks are always and option. I’ll call it a business expense. If you’re interested, let me know. Hopefully I’ll be ready to start snapping photos very soon.

That leads us right to the friends section. If I’m going to be busy shamelessly promoting myself, I might as well promote my friends as well. If you’d like to help out with this venture in any way, you’ve got a spot reserved under the friends section. Anyone that models for the site, bands that want to rock my gear at their shows, web/graphic designers that want to lend their advice and expertise; you’ve all got a place in my heart and a tab on my webpage. Post some pix, links to websites or social networking, whatever you need to promote your own dreams.

I hope to have all this off the ground and running soon. Thanks for visiting and spreading the word. If you’d like to help out, I’ll have my contact info under the friends section.

Until next time,

StaY GasmiC
